This communication is from a debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.
Why do you need my personal information?
In order to ensure we are speaking to the correct person, we ask you to verify a specific piece of information we have on file. It's all to protect your personal security and privacy.
I have a question on my account, can you help me?
Absolutely! Please call our office and speak to one of our specialized account managers.
If you want us to speak with a third party (someone other than yourself), we need your permission to do so first. If it is your spouse, we can speak to them with verbal authorization given to us over the phone. For anyone else, we must have written authorization with your handwritten signature on file in order to speak with that specific party.
Are you sure I got a notice in the mail?
Every account that comes into our building receives one. It comes in a plain white envelope with only a P.O. Box return address and your name on the front for privacy purposes. Our system shows us exactly what day your notice was mailed out and to what address. If you think we may have the wrong contact information on file, please give us a call to update it.
Will I get a notice every month?
In most instances, you will only receive a single notice that we have your account in our office. If you set up a payment plan however, we will mail you a notice approximately 7-10 days (same envelope style as above) prior to the payment processing date. If you miss a payment, the payment plan stops and you will not receive a notice the next month.
Additionally, we do not mail notices once an account is paid in full, removed from a credit file, or for insurance reimbrusement purposes, unless you have a specific need (such as closing on a loan or a house within 30 days).
What forms of payment do you accept?
If you call our office, we will accept a one-time payment via check or bank account information or debit card (Visa or Mastercard). We cannot set up payment plans over the phone.
If you are visiting us in person at our office or paying through our website, we accept payments via check or bank account information, debit card (Visa or Mastercard), or cash payments. You are welcome to set up a payment plan via any of these methods as well.
Talk to me about Credit Reporting
We report to Equifax for accounts that have unpaid balances older than 45-60 days in most cases. If you pay your account and it is considered satisified in full, we let Equifax know to take it off of your credit file. Usually this process takes 30-60 days. If it has been over 60 days and it has not been removed since you've paid in full, you will need to speak directly with Equifax. Also, we do not mail notices out that the account has been removed.
We do not report to Transunion or Experian and cannot help you if you see something appearing on those credit files.
